"On April 10th we dedicated the Handley gym. We had approximately 300 people in attendance for the ceremony. During the reception, the fitness room was open to the public and all comments were very positive. Our opponents are amazed with the area."
"The Handley renovation has been a four-year project with a total price tag of approximately $70 million. There have been many challenges including operating without a gym for the fall season and for half of the winter season. We are currently renovating the outdoor facilities including the installation of a new press box/concession area, turf field and eight lane running track. The design of the fitness room was particularly challenging given the vision we had for the future space. A facility that could be used for physical education classes, after-school conditioning programs, individual team conditioning programs, injury rehabilitation and therapy sessions, and for a staff fitness program. The new fitness room was a $100,000 collaboration with Heartline Fitness, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The Handley coaching staff is excited about the potential benefits of our new training center, as we continue to build a championship athletic program.”
