Hillcrest Heights CC
Temple Hills, MD
SITUATION:
Hillcrest Heights Community Center has been serving citizens proudly since 1991. Offering several amenities including a gymnasium, dance room, game room, and fitness room, county residents flock to the community center for their leisure activities year round with many of those residents visiting the center to get their workout in the fitness room. However, as you can imagine, with over 19 years of wear and tear on existing strength equipment, machines began to break down or simply become outdated. County officials soon decided that it was time for an upgrade and contracted Heartline to provide them with the up-to-date fitness center they desired.
SOLUTION:
After developing a new layout, Heartline’s team quickly went to work on clearing out the existing room and prepping the new machines for install. Once the room was cleared, Heartline’s install team brought in the new, state of the art, Matrix 7 series cardio line. Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and spinners were set into place, and each unit came equipped with 15” embedded touch screen TVs. Now, while working out, residents could catch up on the news or favorite TV shows while burning calories. With the cardio in place, Heartline turned its attention to the strength side and installed a full line of Paramount dual-selectorized strength machines. Each machine is designed to workout multiple muscle groups giving residents the option to work out biceps and triceps, hamstrings and quads, and so forth without having to continually hop from one machine to another. To complete the health club atmosphere, Heartline installed several benches, free weights, smith machine, and gym balls giving county residents all the options needed to get a full body workout. When the doors opened back up, county officials and residents were amazed with the upgrades and quickly went to work trying out the new equipment.
