SITUATION:
Heartline began working with The Landon School and with Marty Klingelhofer, Landon’s Strength & Conditioning Coach, in 1986 on Landon’s original weight room, and was re-united for the planning and design of the NEW Freeman Center in 2005. Heartline and Coach Klingelhofer worked extensively to design a facility that met the Freeman Foundation’s vision of creating a state-of-the-art facility that not only met the needs of the upper school student/athletes, but a facility that the lower school students could enjoy as well.
SOLUTION:
Heartline’s solution involved two fitness facilities--a student/alumni wellness center and a full scale athletic training facility. The student wellness center was comprised of Star Trac selectorized equipment and a full complement of Star Trac treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, steppers, and rowers. The foundation of the athletic training center is eight, custom-designed, Heartline Dual CoreRack ™ training systems with integrated Olympic platforms. The facility also boasts a wide variety of auxiliary training systems such as; leg presses, leg extension/curl combos, lat/row combos, PowerRushers, ham-glutes, reverse hyperextensions, dumbbells, and functional trainers. Together, the two facilities provide a comprehensive wellness and athletic training solution for Landon’s student body as well as its alumni and staff.
