SITUATION:
Archstone Wisconsin Place is a 432 unit apartment complex that was co-developed by Archstone-Smith, one of the nation’s most respected apartment companies and largest in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and its co-partners New England Development and Boston Properties. The 432 rental apartments at Wisconsin Place include studio, one-, and two-bedroom units, with an exclusive selection of penthouses. On-site amenities include a full-service concierge, 24-hour front desk attendant, a resident library, a fully equipped business center, and Archstone’s 24-hour Caliber Sports Club. Heartline’s involvement in Archstone-Smith development and fitness center renovation projects dates back to its days with Charles E. Smith Residential. In 1998, Heartline acted as fitness center design consultant for the Smith’s One Superior Place project in Chicago, Illinois.
SOLUTION:
Although, all Archstone-Smith projects are luxury properties, Wisconsin Place strived to push the envelope further, and Heartline kept this vision in mind in designing Wisconsin Place’s Caliber health club. Situated off the lobby on the first floor, Heartline specified a comprehensive arrangement of Star Trac E-Series cardiovascular equipment with 15” personal viewing screens, a 10 piece strength circuit of Paramount XL Series selectorized machines, and a variety of free weight benches, dumbbells, stability balls, and stretching mats. The perfect workout solution after a long day in the salt mines!
