Jeremy Hoy is the founder and current performance director for Finish First Sports Performance. Coach Hoy is a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) with the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), with a college degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University. He has experience working at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY, Duquesne University, Robert Morris University, as well as a variety of other coaching positions with athletes at many different levels. Coach Hoy has directed and hosted many summer performance camps and clinics, speed and agility camps and team programs throughout the east coast. With the help of expert coaches such as Kevin Constantine, Shane Clifford, Dave Hanson, and Marianne Watkins, he has become one of the best off-ice performance coaches in the country for specific programming for ice hockey. He is also recognized by various forums as an authority on training for wrestling, MMA, preventing injuries in young athletes, speed training, and women's sports. He is a highly sought after speaker/clinician and lectures each year on speed training and training for ice hockey at the Annual Pennsylvania State Strength and Conditioning Clinic. Coach Hoy saw a need for a company that would provide the best sports performance training to all interested athletes, with principles embedded in science and real-world practice, with added values of leadership, integrity, and discipline, and with a commitment to the highest quality and value. Coach Hoy wanted to create a private company that was more focused on the athletes getting trained than anything else. He had a vision of a company that created programs specific to the needs of each unique athlete, and a company that could serve as an educational resource for parents, athletes, and coaches around the globe via a strong internet educational component. In 2007, he realized his vision--he founded Finish First Sports Performance, LLC and opened the doors of his first training facility in Pittsburgh, PA.
